Trade speculation is cute but other teams aren’t going to pony up a ton of picks and/or prospects for either of those contracts. They may be stuck with Matthews for one more year.

Auston Matthews is the one who should go, lol. He’s the one who has stepped up the least and been the worst when it matters in the playoffs and it doesn’t matter if you score 40-60 goals in the regular season if you’re worse than Luke Glendening in the playoffs. Tavares probably should do cause he’s not worth it. Marner showed flashes but was still dumb and Nylander was solid more than any of them just didn’t have the numbers to show for it. Reilly is probably ok.
Leafs should PAY O'REILLY what he is asking for next season, and put him either on 1st line and Tavares 2nd line or vis versa !
Find a good center for 3rd line.

Johnny is going to be hard to trade so Marner should be the one to get traded. He’s the softest player. Not a good playoff player. Great regular season player though. He’s the player that could bring in a good trade in return.

Trading JT is the answer. But I can’t see him waiving. JT and Matt murray is near 16mill in cap dollars that could go a long way to improving the team.
