    Hey Graviteh not a Flyers fan but you forgot that they got Keith Yandle for not even 1 million dollars. That's an absolute steal as he was making 6 million, and wasn't playing bad

    I think Freddie will have a bounce back year with Carolina. I’m sure they’re a lot more defensively structured than the leafs

    As a Bruins fan, I like the Forbort addition but I do agree he got overpaid. I would’ve rather gotten him for 2 years at $2-2.5 mil AAV. Foligno was an awesome pickup and a real feel good story back in Boston. Also loved the Ullmark pickup too. Kids going into his prime with a much more talented team in front of him

    Fun fact, owning a bunch of hockey stuff doesn’t make you knowledgeable in hockey. Then listening to you talk and explain makes sense. You don’t know anything about hockey.

    Martin Jones has Burns and Karlsson on the ice at all times. It’s hard to stop pucks when those guys can’t defend. 1 year 2m is a good contract for Phi.

    Flyers fan here. I think fletcher did a good job on rebuilding the defense. Definitely upgraded over last year. They overpaid for risto, but Fletch did what he needed to do. But yes, I have no clue what he was doing with the jones signing. Hopefully he can get back to some solid numbers. Keep up the good work grav.

    Oilers lost Larsson yes. Got Barrie and have youth in the minors that are ready. Larsson was in a fishbowl in Edmonton. With Bear getting traded as well – Edmonton is a better team now. Just wish they did something with goalies..uffda..

    Grav please take it easy on the Oilers, Edmonton is a rough place to get people to want to play, everyone we signed wanted to play here. And Larsson I believe wanted out because of how the “fans” treated him his whole career here and his father passed away in Edmonton, those reasons made him want to leave not the money. You talk about context but forget to even look at the context off the ice and away from the money.

    mccabe lives in chicago, is from wisconsin and grew up a hawks fan. he practices with a few hawks and other chicago guys during the offseason. as a kid he played on developmental teams with murphy and jones, been friends since they were 15-16. i am sure the hawks did their homework on mccabe. plus, he has already been skating for over a month. i'm guessing mccabe's contract was more or less in the neighborhood of what the hawks offered zadorov. i dont think the hawks were willing to go 4 years on ryan suter (almost 10 years older then mccabe).

    Pius suter was okay for the hawks but he had kibbitz stretches where he disappeared. I hope he plays well but being the redwings im not gonna hold my breath

    gaudette has supposedly put on 20lbs of muscle this offseason, wow… this will be interesting to watch as training camp approaches.

    Little context to the Adam Larsson situation. The player chose to leave and start fresh somewhere else. Oilers offered pretty much the same deal he signed in Seattle. There were personal reasons to his departure. Things like the shadow of the Taylor Hall trade that never left and fans continued with that narrative. Also the death of his father played a factor in wanting a fresh start. It wasn’t on Holland. Little more insight from a fan up north. 😉

    Couldnt agree more on the Martin Jone signing. They could have had Hotlby, who is very close with Carter Hart, of the same amount

    how can you call the Savard deal great and forborts bad? guy was literally a minute eater in Winnipeg and played on the top pair with Doughty for 3 years and is gonna get top line looks with McAvoy. And he's still 29 so the term isn't a massive issue. Foligno is more of an overpay than forbort Imo.
