McDavid excels o power plays. No wonder he flops and sells everything.
Also MacKinnon is a better defender.
Mackinnon isn’t even better than Draisaitl. Draisaitl has four 100 point seasons, Mackinnon barely has 1 😂 the 2 best players in the league by far, are Mcdavid and Draisaitl
At even strength you are required to have a better team around you to succeed. On power play it is very difficult to key on one player. So even strength is a sign of good team play and solid talent all around. Power play can shine light on the best player. Not to mention key saves by goalies allowing chances on the other end where there wouldn't have been. This is why you have plus minus. McKinnon is +7 more than McDavid with 42 less points. A team is needed to win in nhl. McDavid is the best player period at any strength.

McDavid is the leader in ESP/60 since the stat started being kept. Congrats that Mac overtook him for a season when McDavid got so many power play points instead but not sure how that dethrones McDavid as the best even strength point producer when he is literally #1 in the stat category
