  1. Let’s go Bears. Got to see them play the Checkers a couple weeks ago. First AHL game ever and it was a pretty fun one

  2. Go Amerks!!! Kulich has been a monster! And Matt Savoie in WPG as well. Last year's draft class for Buffalo looking great

  3. I feel terrible for the entire Arizona hockey community. As someone from Minnesota, I'll admit I was slow to the southern/warm weather expansion over the past few decades. But I'll also admit that I was wrong and that it introduced a whole new demographic to the game that most likely wouldn't have happened without it. And in Arizona we're just starting to see that pay dividends in professional players to the likes of Mathews and Knies to name a couple off hand. Players that may not have been driven towards hockey without the Coyotes? I can't personally say on their behalf but would assume growing up there played a factor. Along with Arizona State having enough interest not only to form a Collegient team far from any major competitors but reach the NCAA tournament. Say what you want about past management and how the team performed but the Coyotes brought eyes to the game in Arizona and supported a youth movement in the community. I fear that unlike in Cananda and the northern states, like here in Minnesota when we lost the Star's, where hockey is part of our culture, will suffer greatly and dwindle out without them. To me, it's a sad day for all of hockey.

  4. Good the hear that the coyotes will stay in Arizona next season! but still upset the arena vote didn’t pass as I’d really like to see them stay in Arizona for much longer 🤦🏼‍♂️, (even in my 32 team League I’d still keep a team in Phoenix but they wouldn’t be the coyotes, and also would be a expansion team instead)

  5. Nah, send Coyotes back to Winnipeg.

Call them the Winnipeg Jets 2.0 just for maximum confusion.

Opening night retire Teemu Selanne's jersey.

  6. Ownership really dropped the ball campaigning. They assumed it would be a slam dunk without understanding the machine of American politics. If your opposition is outspending you 8 to 1, expect defeat.

  7. I think on May 22nd, Quebecor president and CEO Pierre Karl Peladeau will purchase the Arizona Coyotes from Alex Meruelo for $968 million, including a relocation fee of $195 million to relocate the Coyotes to Quebec City prior to next season. On June 27th, the NHL Board of Governors will approve both the sale and relocation to the Coyotes to Quebec City in a 30-2 vote. Next season, after calling the Phoenix area home for 27 years, the Coyotes will relocate to Quebec City to become the Quebec Nordiques and play their home games at Videotron Center.

  8. Ive been lucky enough to been going to the Hershey Bears playoff games, very exciting! Would recommend to everyone, go to an AHL game!

  9. hershey bears were boston bruins farm team before washington thats why theres a bear logo and chocolate brown color. also rough fan base reminiscent of the big bad bruins.

  10. Not surprised they would give lip service to their fans like this, still gotta sell those tickets for next season.

  11. Is Tucson too small of a market to make the owners happy?
Does anyone know if the Coyotes management has spoken with the Tucson officials?

  12. Shannon, where did you get the Bears jersey? Been searching for a good quality one for a long time.

  13. Clayton Keller's dad said that his son won't be a coyote next season and advised other players to never sign there.

  14. Im living vicariously through the Bears after the Caps disappointing season oof, GO BEARS!!!! Series coming up against Rochester is gonna be a great matchup

  15. I agree with you on Lindy Ruff. I felt the same way when Quenneville got fired from St. Louis. Wrong move.

  16. Houston is the bigger sports city than salt lake. It’s makes more sense to go to Huston. Plus the in state rivalry with Dallas would be huge. In state rivalries are more entertaining and more feisty. That would draw people to games. Plus Houston is full of Big oil companies that could easily afford to build a new arena and support a team. Plus Texas doesn’t have a state income tax. That would help draw bigger name free agents.

  17. Please Ryan smith give Gary an offer he can’t refuse. Watching the coyotes situation is embarrassing and sad

  18. I am so ashamed the voters of Tempe did not take this deal. I feel like the worst part of this situation is the fate of the coyotes was determined by the citizens of Tempe which represents such a small portion of the Arizona coyotes fans that live throughout the state. Not to mention how many college students spend like 80% of their time in Tempe and would have loved a new entertainment district. But being from different areas in the state or out of state could not vote. The amount of misinformation spread to the senior population in Tempe was borderline elder abuse. One other note, I feel part of this result came from the phenomenon that people who wanted the arena were so certain it would happen they forgot to go vote. This was made clear by the below average voter turnout.

  19. Happy to see Amerks getting some post season success. Here’s hoping that success translates to the NHL for Buffalo’s sake.

  20. Lmao Bettman and the league throwing so many life lines but the smaller markets that worked cough=-Canada-=cough, they move em instantly. They really need to emergency relocate them and move towards expansion to 36 to fix the realignment, this way they can try and secure a GOOD spot in the Phoenix area to bring Coyotes back within a few years with expansion.

  21. I lived in Az for five years, went to many games over that span and 10000000% can say that the main reason they lasted this long were the fans in attendance to see the visiting team . When you have an area with a tremendous amount of transplants/snowbirds/retirees ….it makes perfect sense.

  22. Lets be real. If the NHL was serious about making money there would've been a 2nd team in Toronto a long time ago. The NHL isn't a well managed business. Players should be making twice as much as they currently are but profits will never rise enough with this type of leadership.
