  1. For me I want a Jack Eichel type return for Miller. Alex Tuch caliber young forward, a Peyton Krebs caliber prospect only must be a RHD, and a first round pick. Buffalo looks fantastic after that trade. Nothing less than that for me. Maybe even another draft pick. Would throw someone else in as well going their way if necessary. Like a Dipietro caliber prospect.

  2. I believe if the Canucks are looking to move on from JT Miller. Then trading him this offseason or, at the draft would be the right move. Millers value is at an all time high after the season he had. It's a big risk to wait, until next seasons trading deadline. You never know what might happen. Injuries, a least productive season and his value drops. I'd move Miller now, while the season stats he put up this year, is still fresh in everyone's mind in the league.

  3. In my view Milsy gets traded in the next two weeks and the return will be 90% cap space, and a few throw in's like Marino who frankly can't play but Rutherford thinks he can. 98% of Canucks fans will be shocked when everything is said and done and they realize that the Canucks got basically nothing for MIlsy their best player for the last few years. You want cap space? You gotta pay.

  4. Trading Miller will be hazardous for this team but it it happens or doesn't that will be responsiblty of Management

  5. Hi clay is the Vancouver Canadians that's what I would call the baseball team thanks for answering my question and I'm glad you're back how was your trip take care and God bless

  6. ideally i’d trade Miller for a top 7 pick in this draft + prospect and roster player. Doubt it’s possible tho. Can use that high pick for a good defense man to pair with Hughes.

  7. miller 50% retained to pitts for marino, poulin, caulfield and a first.or columbus for sillinger, peake, foudy and a first.

  8. I know Pettersson isn't great on Center and I like him better on the wing. Can Hoglander or Garland play at center.
Podkolzin Hoglander Kuzmenko would be good line for 3rd line

  9. Im predicting a breakout year for Podkolzin. I think he's going to find comfort with his fellow Russian buddy Kuzmenko and I see them both doing well together.

  10. by the sounds of it we should hopefully be acquiring a 3rd line center with some size and a top 4 D

  11. lets just stick with the blue jays farm team lol.
With miller it should be in the middle of the season just before Christmas is when you will find out if you need him or can let him go.

  12. They won't trade miller he is the engine.Probably garland pearson or Dickinson will walk the plank.Miller could be gone at the 2023 trade deadline if the team is not in the playoffs

  13. I’m sure the team will get a decent return on Miller but I’m curious to see how they use the cap space. I myself would like the team to use Millers cap space on the following 2 UFAs and I will elaborate on why…. Max Domi and Curtis Lazar….. Both players add tremendous value and would come at a bargain rate…. Lazer has never made more than 1 million a season against the cap. He’s from BC and entering his peak years at 27 I believe he off a season where he led Boston forwards in hits at just under 200. Perfect 4th line type player. Max Domi is coming off a 5.2 cap hit and a few down years, could sign for a little less than he just was paid. At around 4.5 this is a player who won, while playing 3 seasons with Horvat in the OHL for London and the pair had all kinds of success together as juniors… Chemistry is everything and if the Canucks are keeping Boeser for Pettersson than Domi with Horvat on the 2nd line makes tons of sense for the 2nd line……
Projected lines to start the season
    Kuzmenko Pettersson Boeser
    Domi Horvat Garland
    Hoglander Dickenson Podkolzin
    Lazar Lammikko Highmore..

Miller to be traded for assets and potential upgrade the RHD………. Pearson for sure to be bought out if not traded. His buyout saves 2 million in cap this year and 1.7 in cap next year. Simply, The position he plays as a winger, he’s not as skilled as some much cheaper winger options that have both arrived(Kuzmenko) or worked their way past him in depth. Hoglander and Podkolzin………

For all those saying Malkin or Forsberg…. I don’t believe bringing in a UFA that makes more than your existing core players is a smart move long term and I believe both Malkin or Forsberg currently would be the highest cap hit on the Canucks if the team made a pitch for either.

  14. Hughes and Schenn, or Benn, or Hamonic, or ANY OTHER 6, 7 D-MAN… Because, Hughes wakes up every day, saying, "Oh, wow! I just CAN'T WAIT to be paired with another FRINGE D-MAN who I can't skate with, can't pass to, can't pass to me, can't be involved in the play with me… sniffle Keep telling yourself, Quinn… IT'S FOR THE TEAM… &%$*#%^ **%$#^& … GAH!" HEY! How about getting someone good enough to WARRANT playing with Hughes? Not to mention, but I will, that a 6, 7 D-man is getting 1ST PAIRING MINUTES EVERY GAME!!! (Now THAT'S a strategy that every coach is employing!!! (NOT) I don't know, just a STUPID IDEA, I know…

  15. Keep Miller, trade the dead wood. He’s a 99 point player with passion, both on the ice and in the locker room. He’s got at least three more good seasons in him where he’ll put up good numbers, and he’s just hit his stride. You need veterans to lead the younger guys. People forget that we’ve really learned a lot about fitness and health these days and guys just hitting thirty are in great shape, and staying healthy a lot longer than they used to because of conditioning and supplements. Why trade for possibilities when you’ve got a proven asset other teams want. I realise we’re getting younger on the ice, but sometimes you need to keep some older guys like JT, Bo and Luke, as your leadership core.

  16. I would part with Myers and sign jt Miller…Mr overtime Mr heart n soul who almost single handedly dragged us into the playoffs. I wouldn't invest into the youth movement to much. Guaranteed pettersson will want out in 2 years specially if we're a sub 500 team Without jt. Move Myers Dickenson Pearson garland .

  17. Moving Miller will set this team back to many entitled players on this team and your going to trade the heart a soul guy absolutely wild, club house mentality is alive and well! Just wait till the bring in more pens players🤣 gonna say I'm a fan of the Vancouver clowns from now on

  18. dump horvat for a first rounder and a giod young prospect..then sign miller to 7x 9 and make him the captain..hes the leader you want.

  19. For JT you need a difference maker coming back in return. A fwd with at least 20 goal probability, or puck moving defenseman with 30+ point probability and then a “for tomorrow” prospect, either a 1st rd pick or a decent current prospect. Anything less does not make sense.

Priority to me though would be moving our Myers, Pearson and Dickinson for better cap clarity.

  20. Not that I want to call Millers season a fluke, but the odds that he has another “100” point season isn’t guaranteed. And in the last year of his contract, his value is as high as it’ll ever be. If our plan is to trade him, we have to do it now.

As far as I’m concerned, our window to really compete is while we have Demko signed at 5mil. That’s for another 4 years, and I can realistically see JT being an elite player for at least half of that span. I’m on board to keeping him in order to make a run during the next 4 or so years, but we need to prioritize finding elite defence and depth scoring. If Miller can provide us that in return, I think we need to pull the trigger and trade.
