With that out of the way, I think this is interesting for us. When Brooks reported that the Rangers were “not interested in Q”, it was weird worded and that was concerning to me. It seemed as if the Rangers didn’t want to pursue him to reinstate him, not that he would be off their list under all circumstances. It’s as if they didn’t want to be the team to vouch for him.
Now it seems that Bettman is the one pursuing to clear Q, not a team. This is a different optic. I wonder if the Rangers come out and double down on no interest in Q, if he is reinstated.
I also don’t think Bettman takes this conversation on himself without team(s) requesting it and Bettman being open to reinstating.

Anyone who doesn’t want Q better have been on the front lines of never wanting Kane. It’s why I was full against it the day the rumors started beyond the fact he’s washed up
Kane, Toews and any remaining active player that was leadership on that team should be banned. Just like Q should be banned.
