I know another 5’9” player who was lower in the draft who would be a great guy for Dumais to model his game off of…
All we can do is support the guy, be patient, and hope we hire the right staff that can take those upsides and turn him into an NHL player.
In 3yrs we are either going to have way too many top 6 wingers, or 15 guys who are all fighting for the third line because they are too offensive for the fourth line, but not good enough for top 6.
We are at one of those points where the u21/prospect pool is loaded, and now the hard part starts… turning them into NHL players.
So much is riding in this coaching decision.
Gotta get him on the ice with Johnny ASAP to mentor.
