Considering they built a ramp in front of the goal (watch the close up and look for the long sweeping arc on the ice) that puck should have hit the top of the hole in the board and bounced off.
As rough as that ice is/was, you can shoot perfectly on target and still the bumpy ice would ruin your shot.
Guy needs a better sully I think.

Watched my cousin try to win a car, at a Red Wings game, in 1985. He missed it by a mile. But hey, he was a goalie so what else should have been expected. HAHAHA….I miss you Billy (Hardy).
