  1. Yeah- spotlight on our Captain. I agree. I am still not pleased for how he handled his Stan Bowman comments and I know I need to move on. BUT. He is a different person since his last full season on the ice. His on-ice performance is way down. Yes, understandable after having a year off due to illness. However, if he is back because he is healthy, then he should be at a much higher level of play.

    Part of me feels bad for him- his return was overshadowed by the Kyle Beach abuse and coverup, and the signings of Jones and Fleury. I can understand if he is a little bitter. But to get his name back in the spotlight he has to play better. I feel like his attitude is bad, also. Something is bugging him and it is affecting his season.

    Yes- he needs to be called out for some negative attention.

    Maybe he needs some time with a sports psychologist. Something is off.

    Same with Kane. I think it’s fatherhood, but they hinted at some lingering effects of an injury? 🤷🏻‍♀️
