  1. The more I think about this, the more I love this trade a lot for the Leafs. Giving up a lot of draft capital, but the time is NOW. Overpay was the wrong wording(Raw reaction)

Leafs do give a lot in these deals but huge W from Dubas with the retention, fit of players and the term left….. BUT they gotta beat Tampa…

Pls win in the first round 🙏

  2. I see the Leafs parting with Engvall/Holl before moving Kerfoot out, unless there are no takers for Engvall/Holl.

  3. Kerfoot will be tough to move at 3.5M
I hope Hall either gets dealt or they send him down, timothy and sandin need to be playing in round 1.

  4. I wouldn't trade Kerfoot if I can keep him, guy is a gamer and always shines when the team is quiet. Def one of those depth guys that does well in playoffs.

  5. Go get Tom Wilson! Got to hate him but would love to have him wearing the blue and white also proven Stanley cup champion

  6. Aside for McCabe…good acquisition btw….Either trade for Luke schenn or play Jordie benn if they want a grittier d corps.

  7. Not sure if this is gonna do it, but I guess time will tell. Great video man!

  8. So DUmBASs finally realizes that he needs more grit for the playoffs by adding these latest 4 players….finally. And no we are no longer the softest team in the league….YAY!!!! Before these trades….bunting was the only one standing up to the other team. Sorta what happend to Kadri on his last year when he had no choice but to become dirtier player for the team cause he could not fight but had to.

  9. ZAR is staying in the lineup. Kerfoot isn't a bottom 6 player. Kerfoot, Engvall and Holl need to go for some more grit. TB is stacked with the physical forwards and D-men.

  10. Maybe dubas could fleece Vancouver into trading demko to Toronto and let Murray remain on the LTIR until the playoffs or better yet trade him the the deal with Vancouver

  11. Adding a bottom pairing defenseman and a 4th liner isn't bringing them any closer to a cup. Boston added a top pairing defenseman in Orlov, and their defense was already heads and shoulders above the Leafs. The O'Reilly trade was great, but these 2 trades aren't a big deal. Just depth moves.

  12. You think the leafs will get out of f the first round leafs got no picks

  13. Samsonov still scares me in a playoff series scenario. Vasy vs Sammy is what is gonna define this series imo. And right now samsonov does not have to outplay vasilevsky he just has to be .910 average in the series. Leafs have made the moves to put them in place to win this thing. Leafs in 5 in the 6ix!

  14. I still think Bolts win.. they ALWAYS find a way. And Toronto's future is royally fucked if they don't get out of the 1st round and then lose to the Bruins.

  15. the fake excitment kills it. we arent children, this isnt a twitch stream. 5 seconds in and im out

  16. Yeah definitely overpay but I honestly believe this leafs team can go far depends on this team’s physicality though!

  17. Have a look at the market. There’s no chance the Leafs overpaid. How are future picks going to help the core they have win now?

Whoever winds up with Jacob Chychrun will over pay.

  18. As a CHI fan who watched both players extensively, Lafferty is leagues better/faster than Kampf (and a righty as well). So, I’m sure they’ll fine a spot for him. He never takes a second off—200% effort all game every game.

  19. I disagree with Laff being a “4th line fwd” I think he is a checking line Forward whether that’s you 3rd or 4th him with O’Rielly and Accari is not fun to play against Also McCabe I’d exactly what the leafs needed, he isn’t a plug like schenn but actually a good hockey player who plays with grit

  20. Who the fuck cares about picks?? Picks are overrated when your trying to win a round/ Stanley Cup!!

  21. lafferty's skills on the pk are pretty good he leads the league in shorties. i would compare lafferty to b.goodrow. good trade for both teams, the hawks now have multiple 1st rounders in the next 3 drafts atm.

  22. Everyone's lingering question about the Leafs is goaltending. If Sammy can just be average in the playoffs and not lay an egg. The Leafs can go deep. Even win.

  23. Not an overpayment. They get McCabe for 2M/yr for 2 years after this season. He's a 2nd pair D, not 3rd pair. You obviously haven't watched any Hawk games at all. Yeah, the draft pick cupboard is pretty bare, but no choice. Leafs can't wait around hoping Boston and Tampa turn to crap. Time is now. It's the goaltending I wonder about. Can Leafs depend on Murray to stay healthy, and even then, can he jump in and perform if Samsonov falters? Tampa has a huge edge in goaltending.
