With all the diverse languages in Europe we're also guilty of this, don't worry. Also it's rare for even announcers to have many finnish ones 100% so lots of players just have a seperate north-american pronounciation that everyone there uses lol. Announcers get much less of a pass honestly, it's their job. Keep up the good content 👍

I'm honestly surprised you didn't pick Skjei for the Hurricanes. There was no hope in pronouncing that one right and I completely butchered it when he moved to Carolina. And my fellow Canes fans need to not give anyone grief if a name is mispronounced. None of us pronounced half these dudes name's right until John Forslund or Mike Maniscalco said them.

Not quite "john smith"(from top of my head id say either matti meikäläinen or a name that is not only on credit/bonuscard adds sami virtanen would be the goto i cant be bothered to think an actual name in finnish) but not that far off from john smith either

(i.e Pasta, Bergy, Taser, Ovi, Sid, Gino, Flower, etc, etc.) regardless of how it's pronounced. Everyone outside their own country usually butchers the pronunciation. Everyone needs to chill.
