  1. Mock trades
    Starting points
    NJ holtz+1st
    Buffalo Savoie+1st
Detroit 1st,2nd conditional,Husso,Zadina maybe jets throw in extra not valuable guy vesalainen.
    LA- 1st,Villardi/Clarke/Turcotte maybe Peterson.
    Ottawa-1st+Greig/Ostapchuk,Brannstrom

  2. I want Hellebyuck stay. He was the first goalie who I knew cause I didn’t know Pavlec or Chris Mason

  3. I’d love to see him on a cup contending team. He deserves it. It’s Chevys fault that he didn’t do much during the summer last year.

  4. I hate this so much, but Helly deserves a chance to win a cup and we're not going to get it done. Strip this team down to the studs and rebuild. GO JETS GO!

  5. As a Devils 😈 fan I feel like Hellebyuck will end up here I’d give you Bratt in 2 seconds for Hellebyuck and Holtz

  6. So I agree with you that Hellebuyck will be the best goalie traded in years. I still doubt he gets near the return you're thinking of, Helle only has 1 year remaining and is a pending UFA not RFA. Winnipeg's isn't going to be the team with leverage in negotiations, additionally goalies just don't get 1st round plus blue chip prospect plus more.

  7. Lol bratt definitely ain’t going nowhere. I think you’re in the right ballpark with a New Jersey deal. I think they’d do helly for a 1st, a 3rd vanecek and holtz or a 2nd, a 3rd, vanecek, holtz and yegor sharangovich

  8. Not getting that much in a trade. A backup goalie, 1st or 2nd rd pick and potentially a low teir prospect.

  9. Hellebuyck, @ 9-10 million per, is a hard pass. I’d rather Jersey continue to foster, and grow internal candidates, such as Vanacek, Schmid, and Daws. The guy is closing in on 30, and hiscrec3nt playoff performance wasn’t exactly anything to write home about.

  10. Think the issue is that some of the younger teams like the devil's or Sens could just wait for him to become a free agent, and it gives them more time to evaluate him as he hits 30. Unless an extension is in place I don't think you're getting close to full value for him

  11. 30

New Jersey is most likely not interested at this time. Neither Vanecek or Schmid have been starters and their playoff meltdown can be explained away by overuse. (Hellebuck wasn't so great in the playoffs either) Also, he is extremely pricey at 6+ million. I believe they try to resign Bratt and Meier and roll the dice on what they have already in net this year and wait for the big salary cap boost in 24-25.
