I feel sorry for players like Pavelski and Seguin because him and Roopa Hintz and Robertson and, Faksa, Miller are all good players but there is a bad fish in this pool – a regular NHL cheat = Benn! finally showed his side that was caught and the refs were kind of slow but even they could not look away. Same question gets asked 3 or 4 times in different ways and they expect a different answer?
Everyone that watched the game knows Benn fucked up, but it's just shitty hearing the reporters trying to pry players into saying it.
I'd be shocked if there aren't/weren't discussions about it between Benn and the locker room, but no pro athelete is gonna go out there and give an answer like "yeah, he fucked up. What he did was dirty and we're disappointed in him". Just never gonna hear someome talk about their teammate like that, even when its true.
He absolutely could have said, "I love Jamie Benn as a player and leader, but he needs to be smarter in that situation." It's very interesting that he can't even hold him accountable.
