I’m a stars fan and Benn absolutely deserved a suspension but to give him 2 games when Pietrangelo got 1 is ridiculous. The precedent was set at 1 game from that suspension. Both Stone and Draisaitl walked away able to continue in the game. Unfair from the league to give Benn 2, should have been 1

Michael Bunting got 3 games in round 1. I thought that was pretty harsh at the time. But petro only gets 1 game, and benn only gets two? Absolute clown show.

I think the major difference between Petro’s and Benn’s stupidity is that petro went for the hand benn went for the head and that’s the reason it was one more game for benn. Had benn crosschecked stone in the shoulder or wrist while he was down like that I don’t even think it would of been a major and definitely not a suspension. Gotta believe that dops takes targeting the neck and head more serious than a wrist. Not saying it’s right just seems how they’ve been handling it

Somehow the DoPS sees this as worse than the Pietrangelo premeditated two handed axe job blatant attempt to injure away from the play on Dreiseitl. Don’t get me wrong, Benn’s was bad and deserving of at least two games (almost three including last night), but it just highlights the inconsistency of this stupid department. How in the world one of the biggest goons that ever played the game is in charge is utterly beyond me.
