Matt Dumba Hits Joe Pavelski l Game 1 Wild vs. Stars

During Game 1 of the NHL playoff series between the Minnesota Wild and the Dallas Stars on April 17, 2023, Wild defenseman Matt Dumba delivered a hit on Stars forward Joe Pavelski in the second period. The hit occurred in the Stars offensive zone, and Dumba initially appeared to make contact with Pavelski’s head with his shoulder. Pavelski remained on the ice for several minutes before being helped off by trainers and did not return to the game. The hit was reviewed by the officials, and Dumba was assessed a two minute minor. The Wild went on to win the game 3-2 in overtime.
