The Maple Leafs are officially in search of a new general manager and one of the top priorities in a long to-do list for the new hire will be trying to ink Auston Matthews to an extension this offseason. # 34 would be crazy to extend right now. Get through the 23/24 season healthy. Score 40+ goals, and then become the hottest UFA in a long time. And btw TSN……. plaese let Dubas go. Kyle has left the building. He even left the Leafs a note on the pillow.

Leafs should trade Mathews if he doesn't want to play for the same money for another three years. No point in giving him more money to jeopardize the chances of winning the cup.

Kyle’s agent and AM34’s agent are from the same agency. It’s also been confirmed that Kyle Dubas was spotted in Pitt with Sydney Crosby
Trade him to Boston for Charlie McAvoy. Here's the logic: McAvoy is a very good defenseman who's probably better than Morgan Reilly and he's four years younger. He makes 9.5 million a year (2 million less than Matthews) and is under contract until 2030. As for Boston, they need a center because Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci are probably going to retire. And Matthews would be a perfect replacement. Of course this trade only works if Matthews agrees to sign long term with Boston, but he might. Win win for both teams.
Watch the movie "Catch me if you Can" then watch Moneyball….Dubas and his buddies(Dellow in Edmonton) found a real NHL Moneyball story online and they hijacked it and used it to get into the NHL…..deal with it.

There is no way Mathews should be making more salary than McDavid. But only the Leafs would be dumb enough to give him that kind of money – if Dumbass was still around. Trade him to Phoenix for some first rounders. He's going to want to go back home and perhaps he can help them land an arena and put some asses in the seats.
Don't understand why Shanahan had issues with dubas saying it's been hard on his family. That should go without saying.
