Proud of the Canucks effort due to the players who were missing. Disappointed because I felt as if we could have gotten both the points tonight. But overall, this result is more than what I expected all day.
Knight's play on Hughes was absolutely textbook. Aggressive to takeaway the shot. The fake poke check to make Hughes to change his plan again. And the strong push timed and angled perfectly to takeaway everything. A thing of beauty. What I found so impressive if the goal on the first attempt by Boeser was nearly an identical attempt (just a righty vs lefty), and Knight didn't have his timing and gap control right, and he was able to make that adjustment for the next two shooters.
Nucks did great. Too bad the @NHL refs are absolute trash and call a phantom call on hoglander in the 3rd and then ignore the trip on Petey with 3 min left. But ok. Yeah they did great.
Canucks are insipid on the shootout. Horvat showed an effort and some imagination and was rewarded. The others, the fumbling superstars, pathetic. If I shot that bad I would give some of the money back.

Aleksander Barkov scored the deciding goal in the shootout and the Florida Panthers beat the Vancouver Canucks 2-1 Friday night.
Brock Boeser scored for Vancouver in the first round of the tiebreaker and Anton Lundell tied it for Florida in the second round.
