i remember that the primary lighting aesthetic in the "pacific coliseum" had a distinctly dour yellowish hue throughout the arena, … casting a seemingly miserable sepia-toned pall across the long-suffering faces of the die-hard "canuck" fans that were cloistered in attendance within the cramped confines … i was always jealous of the crisp vivid lighting in the "forum", the " 'gardens", and most of all, "northlands" in edmonton , which always seemed to be the most brightly lit rink back in the day…
I'd rather see the passion of the fans and players of the old days and I dont recall seeing too many stoppages for litter on the ice. It only occurred when there was something real to bitch about. Not the best Jeff Patterson takes today
