If anyone other than Marchand was hit, a suspension would be in order. Since the victim was Marchand, Lyubushkin might get a medal (or, players around the league might chip in to pay his fine). 😉
I don’t know if I would suspend but it’s definitely a penalty within the game. Frustrating when a blatant penalty is viewed by fans in such different ways. I think it points out that the frustration with lack of consistency in the NHL. It causes all of us to have different opinions that are so polar opposite.
