TOP 3 BREAKOUT CANDIDATES FOR NEXT SEASON

In today’s video I discuss my top three breakout candidates for next season. A breakout candidate is someone who I believe will take the next step in their development and really grow their game. Last season a great example can be seen through Mike Matheson. Watch until the end to see my full top 3!

  1. Pinard will take a spot in the top 6 , won't let go of it with his pure drive and effort, and score 30 goals next season .

  2. Slafkovsky better learn to keep his head up! I believe Slafkovsky will be an average player but we will see.

  3. I think Slaf will need another year before he breaks out.

    To me its:

    1. Justin Barron
    2. Kaiden Guhle
    3. Cole Caufield (gets 50 goals)

  4. Great vid dude! Prefect picks but Suzuki should be 1st and Slaf 3rd. Suzuki will reach 85-90
points. He's better than most think. Cheers

  5. Slaf is doing fine for his entry year, big players take bit longer for their bodies to adjust from 18 to 20 will be a big difference and leaving european hockey is another huge adjustment. But he has the tools and reach too

  6. i think slaf is gonna struggle again next year but he is learning and i think he will become a very good player at some point. next season just seems too soon for me

  7. I'd like to see Montreal go after a top goalie prospect in this draft, certainly not in the first round but somewhere in the other early rounds.

  8. I can see all those happening. I think Suzuki with the right teammates, can put up about 1pt per game. Hes also a very well rounded player, and tough as nails. Hope he doesnt burn himself out. We are going to need him when it counts (2-3yrs from now). I hope Slaf can take a nice step forward this season, and not get injured. I dont expect him to light it up, but i definitely see him looking more comfortable out there. He will be a good to great player by the time he hits his early to mid 20s
