  1. I defended pomo from the start. IT's all on scheifele, refused to listen, that cup could have been the jets if they listened to their coach.

  2. Happy for Maurice but proves it's our players Scheifele/Wheeler/ect didn't want it,buy in. Accountability,Passion wanting it.

Old values today imo have left the up and comming players their happy collecting checks and just playing the game, the life.

Non conventional markets being in Stanley Cup is new prior sunbelt teams weren't great or players still wanted to play for die hard fans or certain teams. Now it's like who wouldn't want low taxes, nice weather ect.
Accountability not just sports in everyday life workplaces is lost, most people won't say my bad and work and move on they point fingers make excuses. Why should I work hard if that person isn't.
Leads into what bowness was saying passion/compete/show heart even in a losing effort always be learning to grow game. Will lead to success

In real life maybe try 1 thing today in workplace/life you didn't yesterday.
Don't focus on bad things maybe how someone has a degree or NHL terms more goals or skill set but focus on what makes you (YOU) and what your good at and how can be part of group/team.
Ex-maybe stayed extra time, taught someone, anything extra you do should bring 3rd/4th liners up in confidence/skill as a leader you will have more trust in them and teamates knowing its not all on you. They have developed or do the best they can. Play/have respect for the game just cause make 8million doesn't mean should be stagnant, have the same drive back when you didn't have a roster spot or when were still a prospect.

Yes maybe language matters these days to players and workers you can't be like Babcock, maybe Sutter/Tortorella but can have same morales/ideals on hard work, wanting it not 30 games a year, things can happen yes off days, injuries mental health but for most part give 85%.
NHL playoffs change so drastically from season teams can float cause ounce in doesn't matter who you play like Florida you got a shot. Just need to know have players who can play tighter, physically, win 2-1games.

Take pride in what you do,no matter the pay.Be happy to put on those jerseys.

  3. I'm a Panthers fan and South Florida native. It was a season of mediocrity with some Jets fans actually telling us "told you so." Then all of a sudden, actually after he ripped into them in Toronto it was like the bought in overnight. He's coached absolutely brilliantly in the playoffs. I feel bad if hos issues in Winnipeg were in some way actually due to a "toxic" locker room.

  4. At the end of the day, the best team will win and I think most of us know who that is.

  5. Grew up in New England and now a lifetime since of many years in Sunbelt West venues..

Having a severe light disorder ( autoimmune) since childhood..I look differently at hockey players in Northern locales versus sun areas. There is a difference…it’s non topical perhaps but it is easier to skate indoors and walk outdoors minutes later in the desert sunshine in the depths of wintertime…an infusion of good sensations you don’t experience daily in winter months in light deprived northern reaches..Really noticed this by working in California hockey market..with many Canadian colleagues. You can hit the beach with impunity rollerblading and sun worship.

  6. Paul Maurice has brought A LOT to this team. He brought his SYSTEM! He knows when to praise and he knows when to lay into the players, like he did to them in the Toronto series. They have been on a tear ever since. Additionally, Maurice’s decision to bench Bob is what got Bob’s ass into gear to get him performing optimally again. Don’t forget that is was Alex Lyon, our backup goalie that was clutch at the end of the season and against the Bruins and got us into the playoffs to begin with.

  7. The quality and design of the jets jersey is enough to be proud and want to play well. Imagine what it feels like for Lucic looking the way he does and playing in a Flames jersey. That's why they suck. Man, those are ugly. 🤣

  8. This is an indictment on the Jets' players and management. Hes a player's coach, and he felt he coukdnt get through them anymore. He was not the problem. And it wouldnt surprise me if he told Chevy who the problem players were and if changes weren't made, he'd step down. And as is the usual, Chevy made no changes and stepped down.

And we see, once again, what he can do when he has a team that's fully bought in and playing for each other.
