Could the Boston Bruins TRADE Brad Marchand?

On the latest episode of Bruins Beat, the guys discuss the Bruins offseason and what the team has to do in wake of a letdown round one loss. After picking up players during the season to load up for a title run, Boston may have to do some serious retooling and roster reconstruction, especially if players like David Krejci and Patrice Bergeron end up retiring.

Who would the Bruins look to trade? Would they consider moving on from longtime Bruin and culture-setter Brad Marchand before he hits his decline? Check out this segment as Conor and Evan discuss

  1. Marchand is 35 and has had injury problems, but is still a valuable asset. They should trade him now while he still has value, but only if the return is good.

  2. Saw a rumor about Grizz for hopefully Nugent Hopkins and if they woulnt do that than maybe McLeod… I’d do it for nuge

  3. Nice joke
    If you’re serious then… Yikes
Sounding like leafs fans with the delusional takes

  4. Marchand is the team's heart, soul and backbone. He's the last one I would think of trading.

  5. It depends what we want to do. I feel that we need leadership. Marchand is a guy who I feel provides that as well as his Stanley Cup winning acumen. If you were to trade someone, we do need to trade someone older for either draft capital or a younger roster player. To me, there are various trade chips. Marchand is not one of the trade chips to me. However, the franchise needs a shift. And maybe you can't keep holding on to Marchand forever even though he's won the cup. The trade chips to me are:

    Ullmark
    Grzelcyk
    Hall
    Carlo
    Forbort
    Coyle
