It sucks but some form of a rebuild is going to have to happen whether Chevy wants to admit it or not.

Not a *full* rebuild but it’s time to trade a bunch of guys and return picks and prospects. It’s the deepest draft in a generation combined with a dogshit free agency class. There is no better time to do this than now.
All of the below have value:
Blake Wheeler (50% retained)
Mark Scheifele
Pierre Luc Dubois
Connor Hellebuyck (there will be a bidding war, maybe even literal fights between GMs at the draft.)
Brendan Dillon
Neal Pionk (apparently Detroit would be interested)
Logan Stanley – he’s going to be a throw in with one of the other players.
Just make it happen. If we can return a collection of 1st and second round picks at this year’s draft for these guys it will shorten the pain to two or three seasons instead of facing down a protracted 8 years of misery a la Buffalo, Ottawa, Detroit, etc.
