Honestly, Chicago is the only place he can go, money and sponsorship wise. LA and Both New York teams are cap strapped (Yes, Kopitar comes off the books soon, but they have other issues to sign before that comes off cough Durzi cough) Both Florida teams have made there bed and are sleeping with other players. Salt Lake, sorry, Kansas, shit sorry, Arizona.. 'nough said there really. So yeah Chicago can give him 13.5 million no problem. Cap goes up and they can have Bedard at say 10 – 11 million easily no issues. Leafs are forced to pay him what he wants, no options for trading, my opinion. Sucks man

the city of chicago does have an affinity towards the #34 and mustaches. the hawks will gladly welcome a.matthews with open arms if/when he hits ufa following next season. perhaps c.hellebuyck as well?

Isnt Auston not a ufa after 2023-24. Why the fuck would Chicago do that trade when we can offer him a contract. Probably won’t even sign him anyways because he’ll ask for too much money.. kinda hard to rebuild with two guys getting paid over 12 mill which bedard will sure ask for in the future.
