The NHL’s Department of Player Safety announced Thursday that Winnipeg Jets star Mark Scheifele has been suspended four games for charging Montreal Canadiens forward Jake Evans in Game 1 of their second-round series.

Do you think that 4 games is too harsh, too lenient, or appropriate?
Should be out for the series vs Montréal. We all know what’s gonna happen if we have a game 6.
How convenient.. Evans is out indefinitely while Scheifele is suspended for only 4 games. Should be the new game strategy : cause long lasting injuries to the other team, get kicked out only 4 games. All that aside, are they going to test Scheifele for cocaine or some other hard drugs? Just look at his eyes after the hit LMAO
i seem to have a different opinion than most on this issue, but hey, there's nothing we can do about it.

You have to add that it was after the play too, the puck was in the net!! How Evans should expect to be hit after the puck is in the net? The play was over. Douche bag was not even looking at the puck, he just wanted to murder the guy.
I wish he would have been suspended for the series but was expecting a game or two at the most. I'm surprised that the league went that far considering what we seen in the pass.

Good analysis sir. Its important to point out Sheifele didnt play the puck, he never tried to prevent the goal. He forfeited the goal when he stopped at the blue lane. He waited for Evans to come out of the wraparound and timed it so he could line him up perfectly.

A HIT THAT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. Seems to be fair. Maybe he gets back in this series. But this will deflate the Jets.
Not expecting to be hit. Unsuspecting? Seriously? He knew exactly that he could get hit coming from behind the net. Watch enough of the replays and witness as he shoulder checks TWICE on his way to the puck. Hockey is hitting, hits are quite often made with malice intent, that's hockey. It's a very tough sport and these professional hockey players have had a lifetime of nasty. Evans chose the goal and gave himself up to Scheifele. In the playoffs Scheifele would have been crucified by his players if he gave up on the pursuit. He had a split second to judge the play at the last second and chose the body which is quite often what you do in hockey. I'd still suspend because he blew him up too much but 1 game not 4. Ridiculous. Waiting patiently for the Evans interview. If he says he didn't see him coming I will be amazed and I will say he is a fool for keeping his head down in a professional hockey league. But more likely he'll say he knew it was coming but chose goal and has zero hard feelings against Scheifele. Let's face it, everyone was amazed Scheifele got 4 games. Our top player with an absolutely clean record gets 4, Tom Goon multi repeat offender Wilson gets a $5,000 fine in the regular season. Absolutely ridiculous.
