Hunter dives into Darche’s history when it comes to the sport, including his playing career and how he sat in during labor talks in 2012. He then looks at how he got hired by the Tampa Bay Lightning and what his main roles have been with the organization. He discusses how he’s been a big hand in getting the Lightning under the salary cap and how he’s done with helping Julien Brisebois with contract negotiations. His work there alone should be enough for him to get the gig. He then dives into the latest with Kyle Dubas and when an announcement on his decision will be coming. Do the Penguins have a target date for it? What is the decision coming down to? He also discusses why it’s perfectly fine for him to take the long weekend to discuss with his family since this is such a major decision. Honestly if we don’t get dubas I’m crushed
Yeah it's perfectly okay that Dubas is taking his time with this decision, it's literally life altering for him and his family. I think we as fans are just getting impatient with waiting for the announcement of a GM lol. And yeah, if Dubas ultimately declines the offer, I think Darche will do a fine job. I'm sure he's learned well working with BriseBois in Tampa. I saw June 1st is basically when the offseason starts, some players need signed by then or you give away their rights. So yeah, if I had to guess I'd guess the Pens will 100% have a GM by next Thursday.

Toronto is in full melt down about the Dubas departure. He didn't win a Cup, (but no Canadian based team has since 1993). But Kyle built a very fast entertaining team that was fun to watch. They had the 5th best record in the NHL over the past 5 years.(5th best out of 32 Teams)
On Jarry situation, besides his injury worries….would you be concerned about his overall play? It seemed as if he was giving up goals (soft) that should've of been stopped. In live game time action, you' d be watching & a simple shot would all of sudden go through him. His angles seemed off & not always out challenging the shooter if needed
