  1. I prefer the refs let them play rough, that would have been a very weak call. Any Bruins fans upset over this are just being babies. You guys had 37 shots on goal and only scored once, and your goalie gave up 2 goals on 21 shots. That's what happened.

  2. I hate Bruins but you have no choice to call a penalty on this. WTF ? It's sad to win this way

  3. What a terrible call! Much, much worse than ANY of these "scandal calls" that we've ALREADY received in these playoffs. Shame

  4. Honestly, I have the solution for this. Take 3 of the 4 refs off the ice. Leave a puck dropper on the ice who does not make any calls. Put the refs in the stands, maybe have as many as 8 or 10 of them calling the game, like judges in a boxing match. No more coach's challenges, more room on the ice for the players, no more blown calls as every ref will have access to instant replay in their hands. No more need for Toronto )) No more video reviews, no more explanations to coaches. No more delayed penalties. Every speaker in the building can blow the whistle once three refs make the call within X seconds of the penalty. Return the NHL to no offsides but you keep icings. Maybe have a red light along the boards of the zone when icing is going to be called. Players racing back for the puck will see the lights. The game will be lightning fast with a lot more room on the ice without offsides being called. There will be more goals and more interesting strategies to take advantage of the no offsides rule.

  5. If the Blues win the Stanley cup it will forever be remembered for the no call that ruined this great series. These refs all need to be fired.

  6. Announcers are retarded! If the penalty was called the puck would have been called dead because it was a Blues penalty! Stupid!

  7. judgement call, ref could have been obstructed by the other bruins player plus watch the slow mo @0:37 Accari's right leg wasnt even touched but yet it was the one that almost hit him in the face? give me a break, clear embellishment. and yes a trip. but i think a justified non call. Not to mention, play until you hear the freakin whistle… jeeez boston looked like a bunch of soccer players out there entitled to a penalty because someone is on the ground…..

  8. NHL officiating is, by far, the worst of all sports I watch. It could easily be used for the definition of inconsistent. Game to game, , period to period, or even one shift to the next, the calls change.

Question: When is a trip not a trip?
Answer: Well it was in the third period, so the refs don't want to influence the outcome of the game.

    The irony is so painful.

  9. Read rule and decide for yourself! Rule 57.1 "Tripping – A player or goalkeeper shall not place the stick, knee, foot, arm, hand or elbow in such a manner that causes his opponent to trip or fall.
Accidental trips which occur simultaneously with a completed play will not be penalized. Accidental trips occurring simultaneously with or after a stoppage of play will not be penalized.
If, in the opinion of the Referee, a player makes contact with the puck first and subsequently trips the opponent in so doing, no penalty shall be assessed."

  10. No surprise the NHL didn't mention the trip in the comments. It's past time for booth refs who can call everything. Zero excuse for the on-ice officials here.

  11. Accaris right leg is being excessively exaggerated when falls because he try’s to get the call, but that does look like a trip to me

  12. Even the B's on the play knew he fake his fall… No one came to fight Bozak… u know why? Cause he didnt do anything wrong… he was chasing the puck being push by another player and acciari embellish his fall you can see his right leg jump when bozak hit his left leg

  13. Lifelong Blues fan here and I agree there should have been a call there. But, is it just me or did it look like Acciari tried to sell it by flopping backwards. Again, I think a trip should have been called, but maybe the ref saw the trip AND the embellishment and decided to just let them play instead of sending both guys (Bozak & Acciari) off for a 4 on 4. Just my thought…

  14. Weird that his right leg went flying up like that way after the contact. Way to play until the whistle blows lol.

  15. there are bad calls every game + no calls every game. all i can say that it balances itself out. remember the blues got screwed on the hand pass in prior series with San Jose which cost them the game. life goes on in this imperfect world of reffing. referring is not a science. its human and imperfect.

  16. My first thought was that it didn't affect the play before the goal. Watching it slow mo showed it absolutely did. Looking from the front showed the Blues players leg and stick directly hit the Bruins back leg at the very millisecond the Bruins player was flipping the puck resulting in a bad pass. Still rooting for the Blues but maybe not as much. A blatant mistake by the refs. I'm sure the Blues will face some Ref backlash in St.Louis.

  17. If Rask stops a simple shot across the crease rather than deflecting it into his own net, nobody is talking about this.

As for Bruin's fans crying about it… there was nearly 10 mins left in the game when this happened. And, Johnny Boychuck/Mason Raymond 2011 final anyone?

You guys have short memories regarding non calls….

  18. It is partly acciaris fault because he did pivot right into his knees. If he were to stay on the same path down the boards that would’ve never happened

  19. Holy flop! Hahaha. I like how Acciaris right leg just randomly started accelerating and he flung himself backwards. Should’ve been matching minors or both non calls.

  20. Bad call, but why did the rest of the Bruins stop playing defense? The Blues got two guys in front of Rask with very little push back.

  21. Welcome to the New NBA. The NHL has lost all of its integrity for the game. At what point are they going to claim they want to “protect the players” again. Absolutely disgusting

  22. It smelled an awful lot like karma in that arena. The stench was profusely bleeding from Marchand.

  23. There is really nothing wrong with this, it's just unfortunate what happend. Bozak is turning while being pursued from behind as he's curling to his left. The bruins player turns around and slowly moving backwards into the legs of Bozak, Bozak does nothing here to indicate a slew foot or trip here. He's just turning and their is no ill will or intent to injure here.

  24. Bruins fans: remember this next time you defend Marchand, and his antics. Also Pastrnak is a diver

  25. I'm from Vancouver, and I'll say outright the Bruins should have and quite likely would have won the Cup – and the refs blew it. Sure, I was rooting hard for the Blues, but a competition means someone truly has to earn the win, not get the win by a mere fluke because a neutral official blew a call.
