The Memorial Cup is an annual Champions League-like super tournament of the winners of the 3 Canadian Hockey League member leagues – the Western Hockey League, the Ontario Hockey League, and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League – plus a 4th host team. As WHL champions, the Thunderbirds qualified and begin round-robin play today.

The only Kraken prospect is Tucker Robertson on Peterborough, a 2022 4th round pick. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/619190/tucker-robertson
TBirds are just monsters and firing on all cylinders right now. Tore through a 115-point Winnipeg team like single ply toilet paper. This could be their year to finally do it.
What’s the tournament format?

This is going to be a tough tournament and anything can happen in single-game group play and championship game. I still think the T-birds are going to be in the championship game if they play their best.
