Great trade on paper but it hasn't worked out on the ice. I wonder why Babs is so against playing Barrie or Holl on the right side with Rielly instead of Ceci

Babs problem is he needs to stop trying to get players to play styles that aren't their style! And please let's.not forget how much roster turn over they need time to.gel that being Said they need to add toughness to make the stars play more comfortable. Dubas has to under stand 1 thing this isnt junior you have to have a good mix of skill and grit! Veterans and young players! This team has a tone of skill but like any great army you need foot soldiers shot blockers body checkers grinders hard workers etc

Why should Barrie reinvent himself if Babcock gets fired this year because we all know that’s gonna happen if the leafs don’t make the playoffs
You made a vault point "Barrie is a right hand shot of Reilly". Put those 2 together. I like that combo and really feel Reilly will come out of his slump and Barrie will be the 50+ point guy.

Calgary's coach likes to have their defensemen pinch in the offensive zone Barrie could be a perfect fit.
When Kerfoot is back from a long injury, him and Bennett could fight for that 3rd line center job and move Gauthier to the 4th left wing.
congratulations lots of views good topic video. the leafs needed a good backup goalie so dubass got hutcinson, they also needed to tight up their defense so dubass got cecci, the leafs needed more experience , leadership and some grits but dubass can not do it because he do not have any money left after paying the 3 amigos. did dubass or his scout saw tyson barrie play before the trade . because if they did they will have known how terrible he is defensively and how his style of playing goes against the coach philosophy. so dubass put both babcock and tyson barrie in a bad position.
You are about 33% right. Babcock isn't letting Barrie play to his strengths. However for you to say Barrie is another Morgan Reilly is dead wrong. There is no D in Barrie. Plus it was a horrible trade. To give up Nazem Kadri for one year of Barrie and Kerfoot is a horrible trade. Not even counting adding a better pick in the trade. How you can say the trade was a steal for the Leafs shows your ignorance. Maybe you should switch your channel to talking about something you have a clue about !
another thing that fan seems to forget is that dubass made a change in the coaching staffs to improve the pp some fans was so excited they told me you will see matthews and marner gonna switch side and they gonna scores tons of goals, so far it is worst. so like you can see dubass got a good part of the blame also .

leafs changed GM's in middle of Babcock's expensive contract. Lou was more Babcock's type, but Dubas is exact opposite of Babcck for roster makeup/style etc. No way Babcock approved of the Kadri/Barrie trade, and turned out he was right. I agree, they let Gardiner go, then trade one of their character players for another Gardiner type, who's even worse defensively. I want some of what Dubas is smoking…
You're one of the few that thought the Barrie trade was a homerun. They may as well just kept Gardiner, they needed a defensive dman, maybe 2 after letting Hainsey walk as well. Every move Dubas made last 2 offseasons never solved needs, also missing grit and a backup…still
