  1. Seattle had a great yr,& has a bright future-they are ahead of schedule. But not much playoff experience,& shaky goaltending, isnt usually a formula for a long playoff run. Theyll learn from this,(like Colorado in 2018,& 2019 playoffs)but I think Avs blow em out in game 1-altitude,playoff inexperience,& nerves of playing the deffending champs in what will be an insane atmosphere-like Nug crowd last night.

1st round-Avs in 5, Wild in 7, Oilers in 6,& Vegas in 6. East-Boston in 4, Toronto in 7, Carolina in 6,& NYR in 6.(NJ is kinda the east version of Seattle-with a lil more talent,& experience). 2nd round -Avs over Minny in 7, Oilers over Vegas in 6,NYR over Car in 5,& Toronto upsets Boston in 6.

Preseason-I had Carolina over Edmonton in the Finals. But no Pacioretty or Svetsnikov-too much to overcome, especially in the east. If Carolina had those 2,& Avs had Landy-even 75 or 80% version,Id probably be picking Colorado vs Carolina-but not the world we live in. I expect the Avs to come back wih a vengance next yr,& hopefully bit of injury luck-I like their chances to win another Cup next yr in a vacuum. Obviously offseason signings, trades, etc could change this.

But THIS YR,I have em losing to Edmonton in WCF rematch in 6. Oilers are a little more talented,& much more confident & playoff experienced than last yr-that shit guarantees nothing, but does matter in nhl,& nba playoffs-probably slightly more in the nhl. I think that WCF run will serve them well this yr. Avs arent not quite as talented,or deep as last yr.Id never count out the resilient deffending champs, but Oilers will have home ice cuz of tiebreaker,& with no Landy-WCF would still be a great run,on top of a PHENOMENALLY resilient reg season.

NYR over Toronto in ECF in 6. Mcdavid,& Drasaitil get a taste of the Finals, but Oilers suspect goaltending-or at least playoff unproven with Skinner & better than last yr-but still not great blueline(if healthy-thats where Colorado still has a big edge)-will prove their undoing against a stacked,& battle tested NYR. Rangers win the Cup in 5. Then who knows the offseason moves, but I see Edmonton,& Colorado both being the class of the west next yr,& both with major motivation, for different reasons. I think Dallas takes a big fall-if only cuz they are so overdue for a lil bad injury luck from the hockey gods-though i never actively pull for opposing team injuries. I wouldnt lose any sleep either though. After this reg season,& the bubble playoff injuries to Colorado-hockey gods gotta turn on Dallas eventually.

  2. Glad we didn't have to play that Wild team…they were fast and mean. Falgino was a 1 man wrecking crew. No Joe P. Is just a death blow for Dallas.
Exactly what we needed….both games into OT, or 2OT, beating the crap out of each other…absolutely perfect. Now all we have to do is get through Seattle quick and without injury.
