This guy is so much better than our previous coaches. Dude really is honest and tells it like it is. He doesnโt hide behind meaningless word salad. He doesnโt repeat the same fucking thing day in and day out.
DeBoer and Gallant would get to a fucking word count faster than a graduate student on adderall and somehow say absolutely nothing of merit or value.
Bruce Cassidy is the fucking coach I hope this team sticks with.

It’s really refreshing to have a coach that thinks the game well who isn’t shy to explain the technical details. Between Gallant who always grinned even after poor efforts talking about “I liked our game tonight but the bounces didn’t go our way” and DeBoer who is only capable of speaking to the media in hockey cliches, I really appreciate having a coach who can articulate what he’s seeing on the ice and explaining in detail what needs improvement. Makes me second guess my own observations or feel edified when Cass says something I’m thinking.
There’s a reason Cassidy’s system seems to be the most refined of the coaches we’ve had. Hope he can get the boys back to that system in Game 6.
