  1. What a humble guy. Thank you for sharing this video!

I know exactly where I was when this happened! How about you, fellow Canadians?!

  2. The guy gets so much hate, but he is without a doubt one of the best to ever lace em up.

  3. The debate of the best is always in the air, but that goal, the golden goal, is why crosby in my eyes is the best from all the greats ive been fortunate to watch over the years

  4. it is funny how it's a moment where everyone in Canada remembers where they were…I can only think of a couple things in my life where that's true…and I'm not even a hockey guy…btw I was in futureshop working my shift and watching the game with all the other employees in the back because I think we got a total of 2 customers during that entire game.

  5. Sid The Kid, is Sid The Man this is forever a classic moment, in the NHL history book forever and it is impossible to forget this!

  6. “Everybody knows where they were when that goal was scored”
Meanwhile me: nah I think I wasn’t even in the womb

  7. i was 7 years old when this goal happened, only in my first season of watching hockey. the golden goal will always be a core memory for me as a hockey fan, as someone who went on to work in the sport, and as a canadian (especially as a nova scotian) 🇨🇦

  8. The 2014 sequel to this is hilarious, they came back with a team in its absolute prime and absolutely destoryed.

  9. I always wondered . Like not to downplay the moment and I know its special for Canada but they’ve won a bunch of golds in the Olympics and were favorites that year. Why was it so special ?? Like it just seems like it was just what was expected to happen . I donno. Always wondered why it was THAT special for Canadians when they’d won gold before and they were favorites that year lol. I don’t mean to downplay it though I just am genuinely curious. I totally get how exciting it is. Love watching Crosby play though. Gorgeous goal

  10. He’s exactly right. When we (Americans) beat the Canadians early in the tournament I knew we wouldn’t want to see them again.

  11. I love watching Sid still grimace at that Parise goal. Guy is an ultimate competitor. No one works harder.

  12. Now you look back and realize how staked the team was. Just a thing of beauty to win on home soil in OT!

  13. This makes me cry tears of joy. For my country. For Sydney. For everyone that got to experience happiness and joy in these moments. Think of the millions of memories and emotions that were created with friends and families that will last a lifetime….Pictures and videos to be passed down and enjoyed for future generations… What could be better. It is beautiful and magical. Thank you Team Canada.

  14. Born in Ontario but living in America when this game happened. I remember going to school the day after they lost to the USA in round robin, it was brutal. Got chirped all day for a week. Watching this in the living room I had knots in my stomach. Cried when the boys won it. It's a memory that I'll never forget. I wore my Team Canada jersey Proudly the next day to school! I've never felt so proud to be from Canada!

  15. Luongo doesn't get enough credit for his play during the tournament. Brodeur was not playing well and the switch to Luongo completely changed the momentum for team Canada.

  16. could you imagine we could have had olympics 2022 with McDvadid and Crosby at the same time, let's cross our fingers we get 2026 with Crosby, McDavid and Bedard
