What’s Kraken | The Kraken Sign 5 More, Including Dunn, True and Marcus Johansson



The Seattle Kraken have made 5 more signings including 3 RFAs from the expansion draft in Vince Dunn, Alex True and Will Borgen. As well as picking up 2 UFAs in Connor Carrick and Marcus Johansson. The Big signing here being Dunn who will get 4 million per year for the next 2 seasons.

    Scott do you have a fave spot for hockey games? Center-ice? Glass? Behind the net? 2nd level?

    I like center ice about 12 rows up. Good views all game long. Higher up allows you to see more the strategy the players use. Glass & behind the net is great to witness the speed and power of the players and see the whites in their eyes.

    Dunn deal seems pretty fair. Not a steal, but definitely not a terrible deal at all. And I really like the Johansson signing. He won’t be anything special, but a versatile bottom 6 forward for 1.5 million that could provide some much needed offense? Sounds pretty good to me. And if he doesn’t work out he’s only signed for this upcoming season so there’s little to no risk at all

    You do know bedard and wright along with a very strong draft class are coming soon. Have you contemplated how unrealistic that everything fits and works together like it did in Vegas. Why be good for 2 years but not win anything even when it isn’t guaranteed you’ll win a round or make the playoffs even if you pick up a high value target. I’d rather be average or bad. The thing that is dumb on Seattle’s end is not drafting higher value players at the expansion and selling them to someone else.

    I like the Dunn signing, and the Done pun possibilities are endless here in Seattle (although Justin does have to get off the IL first). Johanssen deal is interesting, I think there is a possibility that Francis was able to identify something in him that other teams don't see. True is the other one that stands out to mean after your analysis, I like the upside there, especially with some of their picks from the entry draft it could be really good down the line.
