If we are going to do a rookie season comparison, Boeser's rookie season more comparable to Ovechkin's rookie season so far.
Captaincy is easily one of the most overrated things in hockey.

Horvat needs the C. The C belongs to leadership and experience(really Oilers?) and not performance.
Horvat and Boeser reminds me of Linden and Bure. Bure was the more talented player and was the pure goal scorer. Linden was not shabby offensively, but was not top end, but was clearly the leader.
As much as I love Boeser and I see what he can do. Horvat will still be the captain because the team at this point is still being built around him.

Does anyone else think that Sid is just such an opinionated ass hole sometimes? I have seen this show hundreds of times and ALWAYS see Tim saying something and Sid just getting so unnecessarily worked up with dumb ass comments, such as at 0:42, "I did not see this because I'm busy working".

As an Oilers fan, I think they should have made RNH Captain, not Connor McDavid. RNH would have made a better Captain, even if McDavid is an amazing once-in-a-generation player, RNH had more Captain like qualities and experience. So I hope the Canucks don't make that mistake and make Brock Captain. It should be Horvat for sure.
