  1. He looks traumatized. The might of the Avalanche have this Lightning captain in shambles. MacKinnon, Makar and the rest of the gang needless to say played a sound all around game.

  2. Does ESPN actually watch hockey? They are a joke. TB has not seen a team like the avs. 40+ shots a game good luck.

  3. What a game,& what 2 awesome teams. If you don't care who wins-amazing. If you are a Colorado fan, like me-unbelievable night. But this wont faze those Champions from TB. Much bigger game for us-being at home,& having never been here.

Awesome start, but all it really guarantees is we cant leave Denver in a desperate situation in the series. 1-1 worst case, you'd still be in fine shape,2-0 yod have a stranglehold. But considering the opponent-even a stranglehold isn't safe vs TB. 0-2 did affect young Edmonton,& talent challenged Nashville. It won't affect Tampa at all,if it happens.

But it does mean we don't have to spend 2 days answering questions whether Saturday is must win,& about blowing 2 goal lead. If wouldnt quite be MUST win-Avs are 7-0 on the road & have proven they are never dead/very resilent. But TB proved that long ago-even if the series was 3-0,I wouldn't feel safe…I absolutely did vs Edmonton,& Nashville. Could've been major pressure for a team-who's never been here before.

Great start, but that's literally all it is. I'd actually be a bit surprised if Tampa doesn't win game 2. Cuz I fully expect this to be 2-2 coming back to Denver,& be 6 or 7 game series-whoever wins. That'd be somewhat less likely had Tampa won tonight.

  4. Happy for the Avalanche! I was 10 watching Joe Sakic and Roy back in the early 2000s and late 90s. Rooting from California

  5. Yes, yes, yes. Get real cocky and pretend you won the cup Colorado. NY found out the hard way.

  6. Lucky goal Kuemper fell down sergachev turns it over instead of a shot being on a goal and the Avs get a lucky rebound! Bolts aren't intimidated !

  7. Love the Lightning…but as a Habs fan…I find they are a threat to our 4 cups in a row and even the 5 in a row sooooo…let's go Avs!

  8. Without listening to Stammer, how many of the following answers did he provide?

    "It's one game"
"Obviously not the start we wanted"
"Hey, that's a good team on the other side"
"We'll get some rest and regroup"
"We've been here before and we know what it takes"
"[insert teammate] made an error but we'll bounce back"
"I need to be better and so does the rest of my team"

    Which ones did I miss?

  9. An interesting reaction. Not down but not quite an optimistic tone from him. It will be interesting to see how the mood is if the Avs pull away with a 2-0 lead. Tampa is a team that will fight to the end but Colorado is a different beast. This is going to be a hell of a series
