New York Rangers Trade Vitali Kravtsov To Vancouver Canucks For Will Lockwood & 2026 7th Round Pick

The 9th overall pick in 2018 didn’t pan out in New York. Kravtsov gets a change of scenery in Vancouver. This move clears cap space for the NYR.

  1. I don't really get the "he will bolt to Russia" thing. Play in Vancouver, a free safe and beautiful city with better pay (high end players make more in KHL but average players like him make less). Or play in a country at war and sanctioned to hell, with the constant threat of mass mobilization and possible death, fighting the most bullshit war in 20 years. Seems like a no brainer to me. Van also has a solid group of a few young Russians his age, I feel he will fit in great. I also think Rangers knew this and were trying to treat him well by trading him to Van.

  2. Hey, big fan and I watch most of your videos. You give top level commentary, cover a ton of sports, and you interact with your fans well.
You deserve way more success than what you’re getting. Sorry but someone needed to say it. You’re underrated

Here are 2 tips that I think might increase your viewership :

1- Create an interesting background, maybe a lava lamp or a couple of sports posters

2- Make the broadcast bigger, the borders almost take up the whole screen and it’s less engaging that way.

But honestly even if you don’t switch up the formula, I think you’re doing great and the views will come eventually Either way dude

  3. Not sure how many games you've seen Will Lockwood play but as a fan you will like his style. He's fast and gets around the ice but most importantly he hits everyone in sight. I mean bone crunching hits. Never got a fair shake in Vancouver. No points but who really gets points buried on the 4th line with guys like Nils Aman, Sheldon Dries, Dakota Joshua, etc. Who? Exactly! Don't think Lockwood will light the lamp many times but at least he's a guy who works his tail off and pastes guys into the boards.

Thanks for Kravtsov though. Like you said a low risk move for the Canucks.

  4. He will flourish in Vancouver but i get the trade for both sides. Lockwood is similar to Motte but he has no Finish.

  5. Lockwood has speed and some grit. He reminds me a bit of Motte when he first came up. He might find a 4th line role due to these traits…

  6. Respect to Patrik Allvin for sticking to his guns on the trade value. It's a shame to see a promising-looking high pick like Kravtsov not pan out with your team. Vancouver knows- we picked Juolevi. The Kane situation probably helped speed this up. I wonder if Vancouver is going to be a dance partner again taking salary to make that trade happen. As for Kravtsov… low risk, high reward. Hope the change of scenery helps him. Even if he becomes our next Goldobin, that's more value than we were getting out of Lockwood and a 7th.

  7. Kravtsov just had his first media availability. He gave them very little to work with to the point the media guys were openly sighing. Probably the worst interviewee I've heard in years, probably attributable to his poor English. Makes one wonder just how committed he is to playing in North America.
