of course he did! they played hockey together for their entire lives, Naslund was Forsbergs main inspiration/idol when they were kids as he was 2 years older, made the jump to the NHL when Forsberg didnt even see that as a possibility in his life. Naslund knew what he was doing! its a shame it never happened tho, would have been amazing….

2005 is when Forsberg’s foot problems really kicked into overdrive. He only played 60 games that year. After that he only scraped together 68 more (very sad) NHL games over the next **5 seasons.**
I remember the Forsberg to Canucks rumours back in those days, and frankly I think the team dodged a bullet. He was far too damaged by that point. That was also the year Naslund’s career really started it’s decline too.

I remember when this was going on. There was a new rumour about it posted on CDC almost every day. I’m not sure it was loyalty to Colorado as much as his ankles were basically toast.
