VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Linus Ullmark had always dreamed of scoring a goal and now that dream has become a reality. The Boston Bruins goalie scored the first goal of his career and first “goalie goal” in Boston Bruins History after he fired a shot into an empty net with 48 seconds remaining in a 3-1 win against the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena.
The Vezina Trophy front-runner stopped a rolling puck just below the faceoff circle, set up and wristed a shot toward the empty Vancouver net. The Swedish goaltender’s shot landed between the Canucks faceoff circles and bounced in at 19:12 of the third period to give the Bruins a 3-1 lead.
“It’s one of the dreams I always had that I wanted to score a goal,” Ullmark said after the game.

This has to be a contender for the best season a goalie has ever had. .944 SV%, 30-4-0-1 record, 1.89 GAA in 37 games, I don't remember any goalie putting up stats like this.

I’ve been a diehard bleed black and gold Bruins fan since 1980. I have never seen a group of players as special as this group. They were so happy for Ullie and wanted him to go through the cellie line. I especially like that Sways sways smile was as big as big as the guy who scored the goal!!M 🏒🏒🏒🏒
Listen to the crowd. They are in Vancouver, not Boston, and it’s so loud. A goalie scoring transcends team rivalries. It so rare everyone wants to see it! Ullmark is having such a great season it’s the perfect icing on the cake for him.
I can not wait for the Behind the B on this. The bench was going crazy. 😭

It's not about one or two 50 goal scorers, it's about balance, depth, guys who play great 2way hockey, backchecking, solid D not giving up oddman rushes, especially 2 on 1's, winning the little 50/50 puck battles.
We had a goalie with the same name in Buffalo once.
