Unless they’re moving up, the Canucks would be idiots to give up another 1st round pick. But it’s something they like to do so it will be interesting to see what other cap anchor they end up getting.

they have chosen a path that makes draft picks useless. they are committed to picking up cast offs and finishing out of the playoffs. as long as there are 10-12,000 people who don't care about a cup or even the playoffs and just want to take junior to an nhl game, that's all they have to do. ownership is just interested in making money and they know their market.
