    Pesce, Necas, + pick or prospect as return for Marner is definitely intriguing. Still think "if" any of the 3 core goes, it will be Nylander. Canes would have interest in him also. Funny… when Nylander did his holdout, rumours were strong that a Nylander for Pesce deal was imminent if Nylander did not sign. Here we are again…At any rate, Marner would get a lot of interest from multiple teams, despite his annual vanishing act in the playoffs. Quite the soap opera going on in Toronto.

    Why do the leafs want to trade for 2 non-physical players. That's what they lack in the leafs lineup. So too trade for these 2 super soft guys is a negative not a positive.

    Nobody cares about the Sens ownership anymore! They ruined any excitement and good will they garnered. All I know is DJ Smith will be back in the Senators will miss the playoffs most certainly with him behind the bench. They really screwed the pooch delaying and dragging this out.

    Sick of hearing about Marner trades. Ya, move the guy who is the most creative, has the highest hockey IQ on the team and plays a complete game. How many goals did Matthews score in each of the last two years and who was his right winger? Notice any difference? Nylander, a -4 player. Love his scoring but he takes defensive holidays too often. We desperately need a very good GM who can sort this mess. Don't bet on Matthews staying.

    I was really hoping the Senators ownership change would go smoothly BUT , apparently, that's no the case. I like the future for the franchise talent-wise, but, they need stable ownership because it all starts at the top and , once the business is done, the focus can be solely on the on-ice product. I doubt the Leafs would trade Marner to another powerhouse team in their own conference, but, I could see him going to a team in the West, if he were willing to go west–Vegas, LA, Edmonton, or Seattle would all be prime teams that he could potentially send over the edge in the playoffs . Best of luck to Millan Lucic in continuing his career he could be an asset still. Mock trade from me—Nylander to STL Blues for Saad, Blais, Leivo, Scandella and a first round pick.

    A Hartford-based group led by Stephen Mandel and Cliff Asness will purchase the Senators from the estate of Eugene Melnyk for $1.1 billion, while Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta will purchase the Coyotes from Alex Meruelo for $1.3 billion, so next season, the Coyotes will relocate to Houston after 27 seasons in the Phoenix area to become the Houston Outlaws and play their home games at Toyota Center, while the Senators will relocate to Hartford after 31 seasons in Ottawa to become the 2nd incarnation of the Hartford Whalers and play their home games at the XL Center.

    I have this marner to SJ idea and I think he needs a rebuilder not a contender, he is still young and I would say has alot to prove still…I don't see even a fit in CAR with their 2 way hockey…
    Maybe for 2 defenseman and a pick/and or goalie…

    Marner and Murray for Karlson 25%, Reimer, and a 2nd and 3rd…EK65 qt a 8-9 mil is a steal…you already save around 1-2 mil and ya Maybe bringing Reimer back is the anwser….

    ~3 weeks until the NHL draft….trade talks will start picking up speed BIGTIME and we'll actually start seeing some trades. Should be an interesting few weeks.
    If Leafs can get a good return of the RIGHT TYPE of players for Marner….send him packing.
