DAVID PERRON’S HATTRICK CARRIES THE DETROIT RED WINGS OVER THE PITTSBURGH PENGUINS!

It was a close game when both teams were at even strength, but the Pittsburgh Penguins sheer amount of power plays skewed the stats. David Perron didn’t care though, as he nets a hattrick ALL IN THE THIRD to propel Detroit to a 7-4 W. Dylan Larkin also registered 3 points and Moritz Seider had a pair as well. Also, William Wallinder and Carter Mazur sign their ELCs, and Marco Kasper is reportedly coming state side. #lgrw

  1. The Pens blew us out last year so nice to get revenge on them this year. Nice to see Perron light it up.

  2. 2 of the 4 goals were given to the Penguins by the Refs. The calls were all favored to the Penguins even when it was obvious goalie interference, and when a penguins player fell on a wings stick, and giving the penguins power play after power play. Still the Refs couldn't stop the Wings no matter how hard they tried.

  3. Wow, at 13:30 the refusal to admit Neds leg was pushed over the line by the stick, when it is shown clearly frame by frame in the replay calls into question your ability to make a clear call and not lick Refs boots. There is no question the stick changed the direction of his leg, and the slime of the excuses is gross.

  4. Scotty, at 16:15 if replay was needed after lots of game time before stoppage, to insist there was a goal when one wasn't called was legit. How is pushing the goalies leg over the line to force that same goal not goalie interference? Not only did the players stick move the goalie, but the refs and you say that's ok to happen on the regular. How is that good hockey?

  5. any thoughts to why guys like Czarnik, Luff and even Hirose are called up before Söderblom? is he injured or just not doing too well in GR?

  6. I was pleasantly surprised by Ned's performance!! Nice job! I confess I wasn't expecting that. More power to him for the work he's putting in…

  7. You say the puck would have gone in, but we've seen the refs blow a puck dead because they've lost sight. Can you say that the ref wouldn't blow it dead, well not this ref but a lot of other refs. The player pushed the pad in the net which caused the puck to cross. By definition, that's goalie interference

  8. Yeah refs were bad and wanted to give the pens the game! However DeSmith wanted to give the wings the game even more Lol! It was nice to finally see some offensive but 4 of the goals were gifts from DeSmith. I don’t think any of Peron’s goals would have gone in against basically any other nhl goalie? Good on the wings for taking advantage though!

  9. Husso isn't hurt, they want to give Ned a 2nd look. Hellburg is in trouble, he has very strong competition. This time of year the coaches juggle new talent and showcase old talent hoping for some offers. If they are worth holding on to, we hold them, otherwise we trade for giving both parties a better chance. Ned has been playing like a starting goalie
