Mattias Ekholm took a nasty shot from a high stick by Nicolas Roy just under the eye. I used the photos at the end for those who still like to claim Ekholm was giving and faking. Lol. But anyway, I also understand why this wasn’t called because the rule book makes exceptions for high sticking as a result of a follow through on a natural shooting or passing motion. Did they get this right? Have your say!

No high stick. It was on the follow through of his pass. Rules say that if it happens as a result of a follow through of a shot or pass, it's not a high stick. Learn the rules Oilers fans

I think the refs got this one right. Looks like a follow through. I also get why the Oilers are upset, and honestly, part of me would be ok with modifying the high stick rule to any face contact illegal. Haven’t fully thought it through (and obviously have no clout).
The refs controlled the game they knew if they would've called a penalty it would have changed the momentum of the game. Go dallas go. Only if the refs let them win they will.

The last time I checked incompetence was not a prerequisite for being an NHL referee !
