  1. Trade #1: Painful, but it's something I would do. But only if they have a plan to add a RHD.

  2. Wayne, I love your videos, I watch you every day, you are the man when it comes to everything Sabres. But I have to be honest, since you moved the set around with the new green screen and different lighting you look much darker in every video, like a shadow is falling on you. I know you were bothered by the glare on your glasses but I think the lighting quality isn't as good as it was. Is it just me? If it is I will shut up about it. Anyway, great video!

  3. Trade #2: If Keller wants out, and it sounds like he does, I'm sure there would be teams making offers. I just can't get behind trading our 1st round pick, so I would lean against doing this one.

  4. Love the Lawson Crouse trade proposal as he and Jack Quinn were magic together at the World Championships last week. Although Id rather trade Bryson then Jokiharju .
Do this trade plus add a veteran stay at home D man to partner Owen Power and the team is set for October .
    Thanks for the video Wayne

  5. I think I'd rather send out the first trade proposal for Keller. I'd rather keep the first rounder. Moving Olofsson and Joki is easy, we are really not having a spot for him. Crouse doesn't move me nearly as much as Keller.

  6. Arizona ainā€™t giving Keller away for #13 our 2nd and oloffson. Not a cold day in hell. It would take kulich our #13 and next yrs 1st just to sit at the table

  7. we can afford for ONE year to trade a #1 with all we have in the system . Crouse would be perfect if possible.

Years ago , a Wall St. tycoon was asked the secret of his success in buying up weak companies and turning them around for 2-4 x the money he spent.
He said its simple. I buy everything thats not nailed down…
And if I can pry it loose, it wasnt nailed down.
Point is, you look at a Crouse, a Keller or whoever. Ask and see what value we can offer in return.
    What can it hurt?

  8. 1st trade sounds good minus a second rounder. 2nd one, Nah. Question, Who do you like in the draft at #13 Give me 3 choices (this draft is deep) Also How about a Mock Draft for the first 16 teams ?

  9. I like the first trade . I donā€™t think weā€™ll need to give two 2nd rounders tho .. I canā€™t stand jokiharju heā€™s afraid of his own shadow. Plus trading a defenseman opens up a spot . I want Bryson gone to

  10. All due respectā€¦ NO! to both.

    1. I love the idea of poaching power forwards! Meaning not drafting them and waiting until their team sours on their development, how many times have we seen a power forward go to another team and explode! but the ship has sailed IMHO after the Greenway trade.

    2. Keller is a stud, but the only way I justify trading a 1st round pick in this draft! is to get a higher 1st round pick in this draft!. + youā€™ve got Savoie that you hope turns into a similar player as Keller so if anything switch him out for the 1st.

Make no mistake this is the LAST draft the Sabres can get top end talent in years, unless a lot of teams F up in future drafts! Gotta make it count.

  11. Getting hellebuyck makes no sense . First itā€™ll take a huge hall and he only has 1 year left before free agency and heā€™s not gonna want to sign a extension with a rebuilding team heā€™s already said it

  12. I donā€™t want Clayton Keller . We alreayd have to many soft players. I mean this kid wears ear guards ahahah . Heā€™s softer then soft . After watching these playoffs I realized the Sabres ainā€™t even close to winning a series . Itā€™s so physical our guys would be scared . I love lawson Crouse tho .

  13. I'd do Crouse deal in a heartbeat. Big power forward that can add some of the physicality we lack. The Keller deal, I'm not so sure. I like him as a player, but two things: 1) He's another "all skill" guy. He adds no physicality and I could be wrong, but I don't think he likes to play defense all that much. Scoring isn't going to be a problem; we need sandpaper. 2) His contract might start inching you up against it when it comes to locking down our young guys.

But, yeah, not sure either of these is realistic. Like you said, haven't heard any rumblings on either of them and Keller is their franchise guy.

  14. my god if arizona comes calling with we better accept it before it even gets out of their GM'S mouth. Keller would be lovely here if we could get him, think they would probably be taking a prospect with that instead of olofsson, victor is someone we will have to trade for draft capital, wouldn't make much sense for arizona to trade keller and go out and get olofsson.

  15. I'd like to get Crouse, but I feel overall that Arizona would want players who have term. Considering the problems they're having it's pretty likely players traded there would bail as soon as their deals are up, whereas Crouse and Keller are locked up with term.

  16. LmaošŸ˜‚ please tell me why any team would accept to trade a pillar of a player in Crouse (who has 4 years left) for 2 guys on an expiring contract? Seriously?!!! Two bums to boot! Cmon!!!! Ridiculous trade proposal! Hard No for Arizona!

  17. Your 2nd proposal for Keller is as ridiculous… Add a second 1st round pick and the answer is no. šŸ˜‚

  18. If we are going to trade for a forward with many years of term left. And as young as they are. I would rather trade Rousek or Rosen. But only in a trade for a forward cause we have so many and we are taking away a future roster spot so we can still draft a defensman

  19. Would any of these teams even want olaffson take on 5 million bucks to not contend? Maybe if we retained 50 percent of his salary. Which I would do cause it's only 1 yr left

  20. Like them both. That second option stings…. but if I am Arizona Mgt, I love the idea of having 3 first rounders and another second round pick. Poor Victor in both options. Shame we couldn't dangle someone besides Victor (UPL???) to 'Zona and just the Sabres second round pick in the first option and do BOTH.

  21. I like the first trade for sure. I think we need to keep the first round pick we could add a other forward and bring him up when we may loss a player by then

  22. I wonder about why the love affair with Arizona Wayne the Mane?
Deep in your heart do you really want to move there? šŸ¤”
The first trade for Crouse I would strongly consider it but I would have a strong feeling Arizona would also want a 1st added in. Keller? If Buffalo is willing to spend a good chunk of their cap space this upcoming off-season long term the priority should be extensions for Dahlin & Power.
With prospects Savoie & Kurlich knocking on the door Buffalo needs to let those 2 have the minutes to play a lot.

  23. Waynsey,
I watched Clayton in Juniors and also in D1 . He looked just like another Victor O. Out there. If Iā€™ve learned anything from watching these playoffs itā€™s that we are too soft of a team. We emulate our coach and GM. We NEED guys who can hit and take a hit. Not afraid to go into the corners. You know weā€™re in trouble when our toughest guy is Peyton Krebs.

  24. No and No. Too much! The first trade idea, should be Olofsson/Jokiharju straight up. No 2nds. The second idea…. just say no to trading the 1st. That pick has a LOT of value, more than Keller.
