Should be. Such a natural fit and he’s a local guy, I’ve always enjoyed Ferraro’s broadcasts.
canucklehead200
If there was ever a good candidate to replace Cheechiepoo, this is it
WiFiForeheadWrinkles
I could live with this
Cgell
Good choice
redditguyinthehouse
Solid candidate, would make the games feel like NHL15
superschaap81
Love this idea. I heard he had scaled back his broadcasting to be with his family more, but I hear him on ESPN all the time? At least with the Vancouver broadcasts he’d be at home.
ltcoogan
This would be awsome I find him super underrated he takes a ton of flack but I enjoy his input
ebb_omega
Honestly I think he’s the best colour guy in the business and this would be huge for us if it happened.
JTMilleriswortha1st
i would like that
twizzjewink
I was hoping for Bieksa
FOOTdive
His commentary on Patrik Stefan’s blunder will forever be burned into my brain.
Young2k04
That would be so cool
AS_Empire
It would have been more fun if itās Shane O Brien
BroliasBoesersson
Nothing against Ferraro but I sure hope Garrett wasn’t pushed out for him, and considering he’s not retiring it’s hard to shake the feeling that may be the case. Hopefully stepping back and reducing his workload was Cheech’s choice
Cisco9
Not a bad replacement notwithstanding the fact that Cheech is irreplaceable.
Miserable-Ring-4539
Bit if a conflict of interest? Isn’t his wife the AGM? I’ve always liked Ray and his candor but having his wife work for the organization might make less likely to critique the club?
Semprovictus
No please
wooshun67
Great idea but no cheech
sam4999
Solid choice imo. Ray has been around for a long time and is one of the best in the biz
Trail BC guy too!
Skook10
So wait, Cybulski is already covering Abbotsford. If we get Ferraro for Vancouver, that would mean we have both the EA NHL commentators covering our teams. That’d be hilarious.
Nomad_0024
This would be a massive improvement over John Garrett
BLKMKT85
This would be amazing thing to happen

full steam ahead

I’d be so down for this. Hate to see Garrett go, but Ferraro would probably be the best possible replacement.
burnabybambinos
He’s a great analyst, only issue I have is he won’t be able to rip any players, coaches or management anymore.
But this market could use someone to defend them sometimes, so that’ll be nice.
loudringtone
The guy ha an undiagnosed head wound and sees things that aren’t even there. He’s rattling off about something the replay clearly shows never happened.
Puravida1904
Would be a great replacement. My worry is that he wonāt be very critical and have a bias since his wife is in the organizationā¦. Almost feels like a conflict of interest
Horvat53
Iām ok with this.
LiterallyRickTocchet
I could manage to live with it, but I don’t love the choice.
If they’ve thrown all the available money at Kevin Bieksa and he’s turned it down, then this is the second best option.
Looney_forner
Him and gord miller were an absolute dream team during international hockey games
Emergency_Wolf_5764
Ferraro would be the perfect choice, as he is based in North Vancouver anyway.
The fact that his wife works for the Canucks should be deemed entirely irrelevant.
He’ll be working on game broadcasts, not player trades.
Next.
votrechien
If the Canucks could find players like they find commentators, weād have at least 5 cups by now.
2BFrank69
I can see it
rodudero
Heās awesome
Islander399
Noooo, I’m already sick of hearing him while playing CHEL. I don’t want to hear him every nucks game too.
sokkas_intuition
TIL I’m the only one who doesn’t enjoy Ferraro’s commentary…
Shironye
John and Ray would be the best duo other than John and John. This would be amazing.
IllustriousPlay7
I hope this comes true, Ray is a great analyst !

I could live with Ray Ferraro too, as long as he promises not to break any more glass with his enthusiasm!

Guys so irritating, makes me like Pierre McGuire.
JW98_1
He’s not coming. Why would he trade in a comfy job doing 1 or 2 games a week during the regular season to go on the road every 2 weeks? And don’t tell me because of Cammi or because he lives in Vancouver. A few years ago, he stepped back some of what he was already doing, no longer working for TSN.
bwoah07_gp2
I would wholeheartedly welcome that.
_HoochieMama
Wow thatās about the only name that might make me feel ok about this.
YouCanFucough
Apart from Cheech changing his mind and coming back for more, this is basically best case scenario in my opinion. Heās one of my favourite analysts in hockey.
