I don’t show that the full conversation was posted here, and I’m seeing a lot of doom and gloom surrounding a potential Babcock hire. Wanted to share the excerpt from yesterdays 32T to help ease some anxiety around here.

I think they’ve interviewed Travis Green. I think they’ve interviewed Andrew Brunette. And I think they’ve talked to Patrick Roy. I don’t know how to describe that one, but I think they’ve talked to him.
I don’t have a great handle yet on where this is going. I could be wrong, these could blow up in my face like a grade 10 chemistry experiment. But I don’t think it’s going to be Laviolette and I don’t think it’s going to be Babcock.”

Who knows what they will do or how this will shake out, but the issue is that they got it wrong last time. The fan base hated the Larson hire and the fan base was right. The fan base could see what was obvious and they couldn’t.
When they came in, they inexplicably kept a bad incumbent coach for two years instead of cleaning house and hiring the right guy. Tortorella worked out well, but the Larson hire calls their judgment into serious question.
I’m always kind of flabbergasted that the media interviewers of Jarmo don’t ask him “How did you get the last coaching hire so wrong, and how can the fan base be confident that you are capable of getting it right this time?”
Starting to feel like it’s down to Vincent or Roy unless there is a dark horse lurking.
