  1. i see you are a disbeliever in my powers 😛
no i would not do that trade.

you seem overly fixated on monty and barron.
i see a tradeable 1b and a second team bust that doesnt seem to be in the plans any more.
what rebuild ,never traded valuable assets for players that will be there when the window is open? none.

if you look at how gorton built the rangers.he signed free agents and had a few top picks.that havent started winning yet.he didnt do it all at once,it was an over time thing.

if either barron or monty are the answer to the lack of a cup .
we have a failure to communicate.
    cheers go habsgo

  2. that deal might be worth it, except where does hofer play next year? he's NHL ready. also the cgy pick is in 2025. who are we targeting at 10? dvorsky?

still lean no, though. maybe harris instead of the fla pick.

  3. liked what little Hoffer showed at the worlds but he was 3rd goalie over there and I have said all along Primeau is not an NHL goalie

  5. no to the habs and the blues and no to the vancouver trade, vancouver has tto dump salary as they are too close to the cap and myers is a dud and i agree to the 4 players who have to show what they got and great show frenchy, patttaya thailand habs fan club helicopter bar soi 6 check out t

  6. That Calgary 1st rounder is in fact 2025, and that could end up being a chance to draft Gabriel D'Aigle who projects to be a better Goaltender prospect than Hofer.

  7. I LOVE you man, but being a 100% bilingual expat from MTL, and thus being used to the kind of accent most Québécois have when speaking English, I still think that you should speak mostly French with someone doing the translation or something. But it's still awesome so please don't take it the wrong way! Either way I always watch/Listen to your stuff 😀

About the trade with the Blues. Is it just a cool question for the fans (which is completely fine OBV 😀 ), OR is there some meat behind an actual rumor about an interest in MTL to trade picks for that young goalie?
TBH, my 2 cents are :
it's A LOT of picks that, if drafted right, could be part of our core during our window. We've NEVER had so many players either drafted and/or developed young by us (like Suzuki and to an extent, Dach) on the ice within the past 20 years. It's the best direction for a rebuild and going forward in general. TPB proved how even a single year of masterclass drafting can bring 1/4+ of the on ice players 2-3 years down the line.

Just last year, almost half of our team were players developed by the organisation. It's how you put yourself in a position to benefit from discounts here and there à la Boston (not to that level, but anything helps), and how you mold the team's identity and values like TPB did.

From there, SURE, trades will have to be made, and we'll need to be opportunistic (like TPB was with Sergachev; and how I hope we'll be when it comes to PLD). But it's to ADD to the team, not to transform its make-up imho.
So with everything being said, outside of trades like Dach's, we should treasure every single picks from this year and the next. Unlike the previous management, they seem to know what they are doing with their draft picks. Also, we're not in an hurry right now, so we can afford to wait and make sure that our starter goalie isn't already in our system (btw there is an interesting goalie in this draft, forgot his name but it's the one projected around 25-40 overall).

We have too many players right now for the available position both in Laval and MTL, and so unless we spend another year doing the "chaise musicale" to really give everyone a chance to be part of the future (will be messy but I'd be okay with it), we have to trade some of them. Many NHL caliber players (or projected to be) are already here or coming this and next year.

So, which are the ones that we keep? Will the others spark the interest of other teams?
