My god, can this just be done already? Hunter starts today’s episode with ANOTHER update on Kyle Dubas as it seems like this saga won’t end. He first examines the facts of what we definitely know before looking at some of the speculations, including what Mark Madden reported during his show on Tuesday. Is he reputable? Why hasn’t anyone confirmed the report? He then discusses what Frank Seravalli said on a Sportsnet radio station and how he’s purely guessing when it comes to FSG and them potentially looking at other candidates. Again, if Dubas was out, wouldn’t we know by now? He then looks at the rumors surrounding Eddie Olzyck and how he could be team president if everything goes according to plan. Hunter gives his thoughts on why it wouldn’t be a terrible move as long as Eddie has no say in hockey-related decisions. Finally, he previews the Stanley Cup Final and gives his prediction on who will win.

Thank Goodness that Dubas got fired, guy inherits all those young players and just does what anyone off the street could have done, which is sign them to sweetheart deals that benefit the agents and hurt the club, overpay for John Tavares, another sweetheart contract and acquire nobody else of note.
Let these clubs fight for his “services” LOL
Like I said, anyone off the street could have matched his past performances and all other teams interested will have even less to work with to start.
Honestly I would take Mark Madden's word over Seravalli's. Mark may be obnoxious at times, but he actually has contacts in the organization, and he doesn't report news unless it's factual. He uses his opinions to rile people up, but with news he doesn't say anything unless it's factual. I remember Mark broke the Jack Johnson signing days before it even happened, so he has inside contacts. So yeah, if I had to guess I'd say the final negotiations with Dubas are ongoing and that's what the holdup is. Nothing we can do but wait and see, and the waiting is getting pretty annoying lol. I'm about to rip my hair out too.
Whether it's Dubas, Darche, Greely, or whomever it's still an upgrade over Hextall.
My guess is, if this goes beyond tomorrow its not gonna be Dubas. They would've heard he rejected and had to recoil to talk to another candidate.
We have to hear 'something' tomorrow…… something
