Golf instructor Butch Harmon on why you need a firm stroke on short putts.
Transcript
Do you have trouble making short putts?
Are you really nervous when you come up here
to hit this little three footer?
Maybe you look a little something like this.
Oh, go in, go in.
That’s called wishing the putt into the hole,
and believe me, you’re not gonna make any that way.
When you have a short putt what I want you to do is
once you get your blade lined up where you wanna go
I want you to stay still, keep your head still,
don’t even look up
til you hear the ball go in the hole.
Putt with your left ear,
you’ll make more of these short ones.
