Happy they stepped out on Chiarot. He would be replacing Zadorov in the lineup which is basically a lateral move.
As a Flames fan, I love the Toffoli acquisition. As for Chiarot, that’s a hard pass for me. Getting a depth D-man is fine, but the ask for Chiarot is way too high. Glad we didn’t get him.
If it's a 1st and a prospect, I like the sound of it. I've been looking at the 3 main teams I've seen the most rumors about; NYR, STL, and FLA. out of these 3, the Blues are the least impressive. Dylan Peterssen or Zach Bolduc would need to be included. From Florida, likely Micheal Benning and a 1st. But, since they don't have their 1st for this season, I'd ask for another asset. Grigori Denisenko. The Rangers are interesting. Possibly a 1st and a prospect like Lundkvist. There's still plenty of other teams interested, though.
Trade Chairot to NY Rangers for Alex Lafreniere + 2 nd round draft choice and swap first round picks in 2022…That is Montreal gets Rangers 1st round choice and NY gets Montreal's first round choice…
Chiarot will be traded to the Rangers for Kravtsov and a second round pick I'm betting.
