Surprise surprise. This never made any sense from the Blues point of view. Glad Doug is still tied to the contracts he signed. Excited to see what he does.

Literally two people said they thought he would be a good fit as a matter of opinion. How that then becomes a story, let alone a common rumor is just sad.

Soooo, shocker? Toronto media making something out of nothing once again.

Are people still speculating about this?

A cursory glance at Dougā€™s Wiki on any number of sites shows heā€™s got term on his current contract and isnā€™t in any danger of getting fired.

Such a nothing burger tweet, narrative, and so on.

Its tired and worst of all boring.

So basically Strick started this whole ā€œrumorā€ that had zero validity for clicks

  6. He was never going to agree to work just as GM with Shanahan as the president of Hockey operations.

  7. BadgerJazz

Shanny doesn’t want another president he wants a yes man / day to day manager

Of course they didn’t. I have no clue why anyone considered this a legitimate possibility after 1 airhead “insider” speculated about it on twitter.

    1. quit sharing this clown. He ran with the bull shit rumor to get himself more clicks. He’s got no integrity as a journalist and very minimal knowledge of the game as a whole
    2. Why the hell are we still talking about this when this was so clearly obviously a rumor from the start of two tsn analysts just spit balling hypotheticals
    3. quit drinking the Army kool-aide. These playoffs alone should’ve caused you to stop as multiple of our former players have produced extremely well and two are headed to the finals.

Lets just enjoy the finals. I get it’s the offseason for us and people get bored, but this is the time to be an overall fan of the sport and watch other teams play, cheer on former players, study the game and upcoming prospects, etc

Does this mean we get Scott Stevens back?
